He has advised and represented multinational corporations on local implications and registration/reporting formalities of a global merger and on labour related issues.

He has also provided advise on matters such as privatization, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and business advisory issues. Afolabi acts as a consultant to the Commercial Sections of various foreign embassies in Nigeria assisting them in trade and investment promotion and protection.

Afolabi has recently acted as lead local counsel providing advice to the largest provider of telecommunications services in South Africa and is currently acting for a Danish investor in the concessioning of the Lagos ports.
